MAJOR DISRUPTION: Storm Ciara hits and causes flooding between Lancaster and Preston

has confirmed that flooding has shut the line between Preston and .

Due to this flooding, there are no trains running between Preston and Scotland.

This will last until further notice.

Avanti West Coast trains that are disrupted would have called at Lancaster, Oxenholme Lake District, Carlisle, Lockerbie, Motherwell, Haymarket, Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central.

TransPennine Express services between Preston and Glasgow Central will also be cancelled by this flooding.
