The Spa Valley Railway has launched its 2025 events programme featuring additional running days and exciting new events.
Special events include the return of the Murder Mystery Trains, Kent Gin Train and The Kent Cheese Trains which all start running on January 11th.
With the Driving a steam or diesel train experiences starting on January 12th.
Fish and Chip trains, and Afternoon Tea and Cream Tea trains, will be returning to the railway from January 18th, while returning to the Spa Valley’s dining experience roster will be the re-introduction of the Kent Sunday Lunch trains.
In addition to these events, the Spa Valley Railway will be hosting two special weekends.
The first will be on the 13th to the 15th of June, when the railway will commemorate the closure of the line from Eridge to Eastbourne, before 4 weeks later, the railway commemorates 40 years since the closure of their own line under British Rail from Tunbridge Wells Central to Eridge, in an event taking place on the 5th and 6th of July.
Family events such as Dinosaur Weekend, are also returning on January 25th. Bluey and Gruffalo weekends have also been confirmed along with a cast in tribute to the TV sitcom Fawlty Towers on a dining train special on January 18th.
Many other TV characters are most likely to return to the railway over the course of 2025, more details will be announced as the year progresses, as will more details and dates on Spa Valley Railway’s Railway 200 celebrations.
The Polar Express Christmas trains will also be returning in 2025.
