Excursion to visit the Scottish Highlands in 2025

The Branch Line Society is promoting its Far North tour in early spring 2025.

The tour features a three-day trip to the Highlands, with all proceeds going to Great Ormond Street Hospital .

Available for Branch Line Society members only, BWC 3 will be run by using class 37 diesel No. 37403 ‘Isle of Mull’ courtesy of the SRPS Diesel Group, which will haul the train for the large part of the three-day journey, while a class 37/4 will also be supplied to assist on legs of the journey that require reversing or additional assistance.

The tour will run over three days between the 21st 2025 and the 23rd March and will see 37403 visit places such as , and Aberdeen.

This trip is for Branch Line Society members only. Additional tour details, provisional timings, and bookings will need to be made via the BLS website.

This trip is very similar to the one the Branch Line Society ran in the spring of 2024. However, the 2025 trip is planned to have MK1 stock and be hauled exclusively by class 37 diesels.
