Back in the Summer, we spent a few hours at Abergynolwyn on the Talyllyn Railway.
We were mainly visiting the tearoom for a spot of lunch, but it tied in nicely with a busy summer’s timetable on the railway.
Whilst having lunch we managed to capture three trains in total, with Sir Haydn, Edward Thomas and Tom Rolt hauling trains.
Edward Thomas had recently returned to Tywyn after being overhauled at the Vale of Rheidol Railway workshops in Aberystwyth.
This was our first time seeing the locomotive in its lined ex-works grey livery.
The Talyllyn Railway runs from Tywyn to Nant Gwernol, and on return from Nant Gwernol, trains stop at Abergynolwyn to allow passengers to get refreshments from the station tea room.
