Steam locomotive to visit Chester this Saturday

The Cheshireman is running this Saturday, 23rd November, and will be hauled by LMS Black 5 No. 44871.

Departing Euston at 06:51, the train will pass through Watford Junction (07:18), Milton Keynes Central (08:03), Northampton (08:33), (09:26), Nuneaton (10:40), (11:28), Crewe (11:56) and at 12:59.

After time in Chester, 44871 will depart at 15:18 and will pass through Crewe (15:45), Stafford (16:53), Nuneaton (17:39) and Rugby at 18:02, where diesel traction replaces steam.

The train will head back to the capital via Northampton (19:21), Milton Keynes Central (19:44), Watford Junction (20:26) and London Euston at 20:48.
