Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower to visit Yorkshire this weekend

61306 Mayflower is set to haul The White Rose this Saturday (23rd November).

The train will depart from Barrow in Furness with a diesel locomotive at 05:17 and will pass through Dalton (05:27), Ulverston (05:39), Grange over Sands (05:54), Arnside (06:02), Carnforth (06:15), Lancaster (06:25), Preston (06:53 – Mayflower is added to the rear of the train here), Wigan North Western (07:43) and Warrington Bank Quay at 07:59, where the train reverses and Mayflower takes charge.

Departing Warrington Bank Quay at 08:10, the train will pass through (08:22), Manchester Victoria (08:48), Guide Bridge (09:16), Edale (10:20), Grindleford (10:34), Sheffield (10:49), Moorthorpe (11:46) and York at 12:21.

After time in York, the train will depart diesel hauled (61306 on the rear) at 15:53 and will pass through (16:08) on its way to Gascoigne Wood Loop, where the train reverses and Mayflower takes charge of the train once again.

Mayflower will then pass through Wakefield Kirkgate (16:48), Hebden Bridge (17:37), (17:43), (17:58), Manchester Victoria (18:43), Newton-le-Willows (19:13) and Warrington Bank Quay at 19:51.

The diesel will once again take over the train and will return to Barrow in Furness via Wigan North Western (20:12), Preston (20:35), Lancaster (21:04), Carnforth (21:33), Arnside (21:47), Grange over Sands (21:55), Ulverston (22:12), Dalton (22:23) and Barrow in Furness at 22:39.
