Train operators are urging passengers to check ahead this morning as trains are majorly disrupted at London Paddington.
A broken rail, along with a member of the signalling staff being taken ill, means that fewer trains can run between London Paddington and Slough / Heathrow Airport.
Trains cannot run to and from the airport until approximately 9 am and trains between London Paddington and Reading may be cancelled or revised all day.
Ticket acceptance is in place with London Buses, Great Western Railway, Elizabeth Line, London Underground and South Western Railway so please check with your operator for the latest advice.
The defect has been found on one of the high speed lines running into London Paddington and due to the high frequency of trains in the area, the decision was made to amend services to help minimise the level of disruption.
