Devon steam railway set to run Santa Specials

The Trago Mills Steam Railway in the Shopping Park near in is to run its North Pole Express again in 2024.

Journeys will begin at the Railway’s Riverside station and will then travel to Trago Central Station, where passengers may alight to enjoy the Trago Mills Model Railway, which is included in the price of the train ticket.

Passengers will receive a complimentary drink from the Railway’s Staplehill Servery – a hot drink for adults, a soft drink for children.

The Trago Mills Railway opened in 1988, using equipment recovered from the Suffolk Wildlife Park.

It is one of seven miniature railways in Devon, including the Beer Heights Light Railway and the South Devon Miniature Railway.

The begins on Saturday 16th November and runs on various dates until the 22nd December. Tickets can only be bought on the day and start at £3.

For visitors with specific sensory requirements, the railway have said it may be possible to make adjustments. Full details of dates and tickets are available on their website.

Everyone will be given the opportunity to tell Santa exactly what they want for , and all the children will receive an early gift from Santa too (if they’ve been good)!”
