Classic diesel locomotive to visit Newcastle this week

45118 is set to haul ‘The Pennine Peak’ this Friday (8th November) as part of an Intercity tour.

Departing Crewe at 08:23, the train will pass through Bridge (08:41), Runcorn (08:50), Edge Hill (09:07) and at 09:11.

After reversal at Liverpool, the train will head to Newcastle via Huyton (09:54), Newton-le-Willows (10:04), Manchester Victoria (10:26), Stalybridge (10:49), (11:30), (12:13), Northallerton (12:41) and Newcastle at 13:25.

After time in Newcastle, the train will depart at 16:21 and will head to Liverpool via Sunderland (16:51), Hartlepool (17:13), Eaglescliffe (17:40), (18:04), York (18:33), Wakefield Kirkgate (19:18), Hebden Bridge (20:03), Todmorden (20:08), Manchester Victoria (20:37), Roby (21:16) and Liverpool Lime Street at 21:39.

From Liverpool, the train will head to Crewe via Runcorn (22:17) and Crewe at 22:46.
