LMS Black 5 No. 45212 will be in operation this Sunday (27th October 2024), hauling The Peaks Express from Preston to Derby and return.

Departing Preston (Lancs) at 09:45, the tour will pass through Wigan North Western (10:04), Eccles (10:49), Manchester Piccadilly (11:56), Stockport (12:10), Edale (13:01), Hathersage (13:10), Sheffield (13:28), Chesterfield (14:20), Langley Mill (14:45) and Derby at 15:22.

After around an hour in Derby, 45212 will depart at 16:28 and will pass through Chesterfield (16:58), Grindleford (17:35), Hazel Grove (18:39), Stockport (18:50), Denton (19:03) and Stalybridge at 19:37, where the train will reverse.

With 45212 on the rear, the train heads back to Preston via Manchester Victoria (19:58), Wigan North Western (20:33) and Preston at 21:05.
