Passengers are being advised to check before travelling across Wales today due to slippery rails.

Trains may be cancelled throughout today or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

The lines that are being impacted by disruption are General – , – Swansea, and Junction – Blaenau Ffestiniog. Buses will operate in place of trains on these routes.

Furthermore, the line between Tenby and Pembroke Dock, and Llandudno Junction and Frodham – Chester are also being affected, but there is no mention of rail replacement services.

Passengers are also being reminded that the line between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth is closed until at least the end of service on Friday 25th October whilst investigation work is carried out into the collision that took place earlier this week.

Please check National Rail for the latest travel advice.
