The Severn Valley Railway (SVR) is hosting a Christmas Gift Fayre over the last weekend in October.
Visitors will have the opportunity to buy a range of gifts made by local craftspeople and traders, including hand-made jewellery, wooden crafts, candles and stained glass.
The award-winning heritage railway’s Fayre will take place at the Engine House at Highley, the middle of the line’s nine stations.
It will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on both Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October, with entry included in the price of travel tickets, which are available on the Severn Valley Railway website.
The event takes place over the weekend at the end of the half-term school holiday, during which SVR is hosting a range of events and activities.
The Severn Valley Railway is a standard gauge heritage railway which operates in Shropshire and Worcestershire, England. It runs along a sixteen-mile (26 km) route from Bridgnorth in Shropshire to Kidderminster in Worcestershire, which mostly follows the course of the River Severn.
“Once again, we’re working with talented and enterprising local craftspeople. If you’re after something special or an unusual stocking filler, you’re bound to find something to fit the bill.
“To get everyone in the Christmas spirit, the wonderful Bewdley Got 2 Sing choir will be performing at The Engine House on both days.”
