ScotRail has announced changes to ticket office opening hours at a number of ticket offices, which it says should deliver more visible customer support at stations.
The operator says that no offices will close and the changes do not affect trains stopping at the stations.
12 ticket offices will see opening hours increase, and 54 ticket offices will see their ticket office opening hours reduced.
The other 77 stations will see no change.
The full list of changes can be found by clicking here.
ScotRail says that there will be no redundancies from the changes, and staff will carry out other supporting duties such as ticket barrier duties and revenue protection.
The changes are expected to come into force sometime in 2025.
“The independent passenger watchdog Transport Focus carried out an extensive consultation on these proposals, which received feedback from thousands of people across Scotland. We have listened to our customers and updated our proposals based on that feedback.
“These changes will provide a service that is better suited for today and the ticket-buying habits of our customers, as well as create an environment that improves safety and customer support.”
Phil Campbell, ScotRail Customer Operations Director
