Major Disruption for Scottish rail services as police attend incident

ScotRail is advising passengers of major disruption this afternoon as police are dealing with an ongoing incident.

Trains between Balloch and Airdrie, and Cumbernauld / / Larkhall and Whifflet, Central and and between Oban and are being affected by the disruption.

The incident has taken place near Dalmuir and means that trains may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Rail replacement bus services have been requested but are not yet running.

15:45 – Police Statement

Officers searching a property in Overtoun Court in Clydebank, as part of an ongoing investigation, have discovered a suspect item. EOD has been informed and several surrounding properties are being evacuated as a precaution. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
