UPDATE: Greater Anglia has now issued a Do Not Travel warning for passengers, asking them to defer travel until later today
Greater Anglia is advising passengers this morning of major disruption on the line between Broxbourne and Cheshunt.
To allow emergency services to carry out their work, the line has been closed fully, affecting trains from London Liverpool Street to Hertford East / Stansted Airport / Cambridge.
The line from Stratford to Bishops Stortford has also been affected by the closure.
Ticket acceptance is in place with London Underground and Great Northern (Hertford North – Moorgate and Cambridge – Kings Cross).
Greater Anglia says that the line will be ‘closed until further notice’, with National Rail advising passengers major disruption will last until 09:30.
