220 more trains each week in Southeastern’s new December timetable

From the start of the December timetable, will be running 220 more services each week.

The December timetable starts on Sunday, 15th December, and Southeastern will operate 44 more services each weekday, including on the following routes:

  • 12 extra peak-time Cannon Street ‘Rounder’ services on the Woolwich and lines.
  • Additional peak-time services between Victoria and via .
  • Extra peak-time services from Victoria to Orpington via Herne Hill.
  • Two more evening services from Charing Cross to will be extended to Ashford International.

Details of extra services to be introduced from the start of the December timetable are now included in online journey planners; the new timetable has also been published on the Southeastern website.

As well as the extra trains, there will be slight changes to the times of some trains to provide earlier services to London or to allow more time for getting on and off certain trains during school term.

The changes to the December timetable follow the success of last year;‘s change when an extra 100 trains were introduced each week, as well as improvements made during this year’s June timetable change.

“As part of our commitment to building a better, more reliable and sustainable railway we continually monitor passenger demand and listen to stakeholder feedback. With this timetable change in December we are providing more services and opportunities to travel by train.
