Steam locomotive 44871 set to depart Norwich this Saturday

44871 stands at Pickering on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway

LMS Black 5 No. 44871 is set to depart Norwich this Saturday (7th September) as part of The Flyer.

The locomotive will depart Norwich at 06:03 and pass through (06:17), Thetford (06:37), Manea (07:35), (07:44), Whittlesea (07:56), Peterborough (08:15), (08:49), Leicester (09:53), Coleshill Parkway (10:37), Tyseley (11:39), and Stratford-upon-Avon at 12:15.

After time in Stratford, the locomotive will depart at 16:15 and will pass through Tyseley (16:49), (17:40), and Leicester (18:39) where the locomotive comes off at Humberstone Road to be replaced by a diesel.

With the diesel locomotive attached, the train will head back to Norwich via Melton Mowbray (19:17), Peterborough (19:58), Thetford (21:17), and Norwich 21:54.
