Train operators are warning passengers of cancellations after a person was hit by a train.
Trains between Bedford and Luton cannot run as emergency services carry out their work.
Major disruption is expected until 1 pm today (30th September).
East Midlands Railway cannot run trains between Bedford and London St Pancras, with ticket acceptance in place with London North Eastern Railway and Avanti West Coast, though they are advising passengers of extending journey times.
Thameslink are advising passengers to delay their journey if they have not started. If passengers have started their journey, Thameslink advises that journeys will take an extra 60 minutes.
Ticket acceptance is in place with London Northwestern Railway, London Underground, East Midlands Railway and Elizabeth Line.
