London North Eastern Railway releases Christmas and New Year tickets

Hundreds of thousands of tickets have gone on sale by (LNER) for travel over the and New Year period.

Tickets on sale from today, Thursday, 19 September, are for travel between Friday, 20th December 2024 and Friday, 3rd January 2025.

Over the Christmas and New Year period the most popular journeys are traditionally between London King’s Cross, Yorkshire, Newcastle, and Scotland.

Travellers in both First and Standard on London North Eastern Railway services can enjoy complimentary refreshments with ingredients specially sourced from local suppliers.

Delicious snacks are served direct to people’s seats with the ‘Let’s Eat at Your Seat’ service.

To obtain the best value fares, customers should booked direct on the London North Eastern Railway website or app, as unlike some online booking sites these sites charge no booking fee.

During the booking process, customers can select their preferred seat and opt to receive live journey alerts either on their mobile or through a special QR code that they can scan once onboard.

London North Eastern Railway’s loyalty scheme, LNER Perks provides members with a 2 per cent credit on all future LNER purchases, as well as the chance the participate in special offers and competitions. New members also receive £5 instant credit when joining.

Services on London North Eastern Railway’s routes calling at more than 50 stations between London King’s Cross, Yorkshire, Newcastle, and Scotland.

Earlier this year, London North Eastern Railway ran a similar release of tickets for travel during the summer peiod.
