If you’ve not been to a gala at the GCR, you’ve been missing out! Why not go to the one in November? Book an overnight stay to make the most of it – you would not be disappointed.
Cl. 20 is as ugly as they come.
Much prefer steam but prepared to “miss out” as too far from Brighton.
Watercress line in nxt door Hants better proposition
So Mr Holmes, this gala is aimed at families and enthusiasts? Surely every gala and every operating day is aimed at families and enthusiasts?
A radical idea perhaps however the objective is to make a profit, and if it does I suspect other railways will follow.
3 diesels? What kind of steam gala is this?
In fairness Rob the article does not say it is a steam gala, just a gala.
