Dovetail Games has recently released a software update for its City Transport Simulator: Tram.
The update includes bug fixes, new tram models, and an extension to the network map.
One of the most anticipated updates is the introduction of a red and white Type D Vienna, a model of low-floor tram which has been operating in the Austrian capital since 2018.
The tram simulator, which features a ‘career mode’, was launched in June of this year and is based in the fictional city of Tramau.
At the time of the original release, it was explained that a number of updates would be offered in the near future.
The improvements which have been implemented include the development of new loading screens which will provide players with helpful game-related tips and tricks.
Moreover, a greater range of background sounds have been added and AI DB trains have been placed at Tramau’s Central Station.
Numerous minor bugs have also been fixed, meaning that crashes and issues with selection buttons not working should occur less frequently.
Finally, gameplay changes include the automatic application of brakes when standing up and the option to start from sidings.
The Tramau simulator comes from the same group which has made multiple train simulators for the UK rail network.
These include the North Wales coast line from Holyhead to Crewe, and the Cathcart Circle line in the Glasgow area.
