Dovetail Games has announced that Train Sim World 5 will be released on Tuesday, 17th September along with new Virtual Reality (VR) and Roblox experiences and a host of add-ons.

Train Sim World 5 comes with three new routes across the UK, Germany, and the USA, and is now available for pre-order on PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms.

In the UK, the West Coast Main Line features London Euston as a terminus together with Avanti West Coast Pendolinos for Deluxe Edition players.

Frankfurt in Germany with an ICE-T makes a Train Sim World debut, as well as USA Metrolink’s San Bernardino Line in California.

New features include Route Hopping, Fast Travel and Conductor Mode allowing players to check tickets and manage doors for the first time in service mode.

New add-ons include Wales, the Netherlands, and new areas in the UK, USA and Germany.

Train Sim World VR

Harlem Line in New York will get the virtual reality treatment as a standalone title exclusive to Meta Quest players, with intuitive controls, new game mechanics, and a stylish New York apartment space to explore.

It will be available for the Meta Quest platform and can be wishlisted on the Meta Quest Store.

Train Sim World Tycoon on Roblox

This is being developed in partnership with Talewind and is aimed at a younger audience. Players can build new stations, manage finances, meet new characters, play with their friends, explore a vast and diverse world, and drive trains.

Players will be able to customise their train stations, make strategic decisions about economic management, and immerse themselves in an ever-changing environment.

Ordering Train Sim World 5

Train Sim World 5 can be pre-ordered online for Windows PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles from Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation®Store, and Microsoft Store.

The Deluxe Edition costs £59.99/€74.99/$74.99), the Special Edition costs £104.99/€119.99/$119.99, and the Standard Edition costs £39.99/€44.99/$49.99.

Earlier this year, a Class 380 was added to the Cathcart Circle Line for Train Sim World 4, as well as an upgrade to the West Somerset Line.
