Where to see Flying Scotsman this Thursday

60103 Flying Scotsman

Flying Scotsman is to head to this Thursday (18th July), travelling via the mainline to Locomotion.

The locomotive may have a diesel pilot for the journey, those this is to be confirmed (there are paths from Carnforth for a diesel locomotive).

Departing the National Railway Museum at 10:36, the world-famous locomotive will head to Shildon via (10:51), (11:26), (11:34), (12:32), North Road (Darlington) (12:38) and Shildon at 13:25.

  1. It’s been confirmed that Scotsman is travelling on its own to Shildon as the the paththat was fir the diesel loco coming from Carnforth was cancelled and removed from Real Time Trains this morning.
