The Vale of Rheidol Railway has announced that Kian Holdsworth has completed his Level 3 NVQ whilst working at the railway.
The NVQ was completed at Dolgellau College alongside work at the Welsh narrow-gauge railway .
With no railway knowledge prior to starting the apprenticeship, Kian now works as a fireman and guard during the season.
Whilst working at the railway over the last two years, Kian has learned skills such as lathe work, screw-cutting, milling, and fabrication.
The railway congratulates Kian on his achievement.
