Those that do buy tickets in advance will save money over buying a ticket on the day. Tickets will also be valid on other service trains that will run on the day of a valid ticket, this includes trains that will not be hauled by the Atlantic.

Platform tickets are also available for those that wish to watch the trains come and go or visit the museums at or the funfair at .

No.32424 has been built by the Brighton Atlantic project, who have spent the last two decades constructing the replica Marsh H2 locomotive.

This has involved a lot of research and a mix of both traditional methods and modern technology thought out its tenure to bring the project through to completion.

The locomotive first moved under its own power in early June and has since seen completion of its paintwork. The Atlantic has also undertaken its first loaded test run up the line, with more tests to be carried out ahead of its 10-day welcome into service festival.

The locomotives launch into traffic will be heralded as a major achievement by all those involved in the Brighton Atlantic Project.

The team has worked tirelessly in fundraising and construction of the locomotive, showing passion and sheer determination, in getting the locomotive finished and giving up their spare time to make this happen.

The event will also mark a milestone in the history of the Bluebell Railway, as a London Brighton & South Coast express passenger locomotive will run in the south of England on service trains once more.
