LMS Black 5 No. 44871 is to pass through Reading this Saturday (20th July) as it hauls a special to Minehead.

Departing London Paddington at 07:13, the train will pass through West Ealing (07:24), Slough (07:40), Reading (08:04), Newbury (08:34), Pewsey (09:19), Westbury (09:44), Castle Cary (10:46), Taunton (11:21), Bishops Lydeard (11:40) and Minehead at 12:40.

Note that a West Somerset Railway resident locomotive will take the train to Minehead from Bishops Lydeard and also the return trip

After time in Minehead, the tour will depart for London at 15:35 and will pass through Bishops Lydeard (16:35), Taunton (16:58), Frome (17:46), Hungerford (19:06), Newbury (19:17), Reading (20:33), Slough (20:57), Hanwell (21:14) and London Paddington at 21:29.
