Laura Strangeway has been appointed as full time CEO of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
Chris Price resigned last September and Laura has been performing the role of Acting CEO ever since.
Laura has, since 2015, been working on a rebrand for the railway as well as TV projects and navigating the railway through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Chris Gee and Jerry Smith will now work with Laura to develop short and medium term priorities.

They’ve cancelled our new station in Haxby already yet can send 11 billion abroad for so called green projects that will do nothing
All the usual rhetoric as we have come to expect from managers and CEO’s. Let’s see good results and in a couple years time not ‘had to leave the contract early by mutual agreement’ when it all goes pear-shaped.

This is a time for a new Govt looking to help fund line extensions to improve connectivity off road and boost local tourism: though expensive Malton next stop?
