Luxury steam train to visit Carlisle this Saturday

The Northern Belle is running this Saturday, 15th June, and will feature steam loco 34067 Tangmere.

Departing Leeds with diesel traction at 05:43, the train will pass through Micklefield (05:54), Castleford (06:23 – after reversal at Gascoigne Wood Loop), Wakefield Kirkgate (06:34), Barnsley (06:51), Sheffield (07:23), Hathersage (08:00), Hazel Grove (08:35), Manchester Victoria (09:17), Wigan North Western (09:52), Preston (10:09), and Carnforth North Junction at 10:41 – where the steam locomotive is added.

With the change is traction complete, the train will pass through Oxenholme Lake District (11:39) and Penrith North Lakes at 12:18 before arriving into at 12:40.

After time in Carlisle, the train will depart at 14:17 and will pass through (15:01), (15:45), (16:07), (17:04), Blackburn (17:28) and Preston at 17:54, where the diesel traction resumes.

From Preston, the train will head back to Leeds via Bolton (18:57), Manchester Victoria (19:14), Stockport (19:57), Hathersage (20:56), Sheffield (21:22), Barnsley (21:47), Wakefield Kirkgate (22:06) and Leeds at 22:36.
