The 5 ½ mile is running its Whisky Trains once more this year.

Having been the first heritage railway in the South-East to run a whisky train, the success of the train has meant that the Spa Valley Railway are running them once more.

Bookings are now open for the tasting events, which will be running in partnership with the Copper Rivet Distillery.

There are several dates on which the trains will be running between 15th June to 12th October 2024.

All trains will be steam hauled by one of Spa Valleys magnificent steam engines, with all Whisky Tasting Experience trains, leaving at 3.35pm and making a round trip to and back.

As the train makes its way on its 11 mile round trip, passengers can sample whisky from the Chatham Dockyard based Copper Rivet Distillery.

The three drinks on offer include a Single Malt Whisky, Grain Whisky and a Column Malt Whisky, all of which are natural and unfiltered.

A complementary Fever-Tree mixer and a bowl of ice will enable you to mix the whiskies to a taste that suits you, as you sit bit relax and watch the weald of Kent countryside pass the train window, as you take a sip from your own branded Spa Valley Railway whisky glass, or bite into a selection of flavoursome canapés which will also be served onboard.

Tickets are £40 per adult. Extra whiskies and mixers are also available on request at an extra £6 each.

Tickets include one round trip in the dining car, three whiskies and complementary mixer, ice bowel and canapés.

Tickets are also valid for all day travel on Spa Valley trains, meaning if passengers want to travel on another round trip to Eridge they may do so, but they may be requested to sit in another part of the train.

Tickets can be booked via their website at www.spavalleyrailway.co.uk where links to the ‘Kent Whisky Train’ can be found.
