British Transport Police detectives have released CCTV images of men they believe may have information after an assault on board a TransPennine Express train in County Durham.
Detectives believe the men in the CCTV images may be able to help them with their enquiries.
The assault occurred on Saturday, 4th May on a TransPennine Express train travelling from York to Darlington.
At around 5.05 pm, officers received reports that a group of men had been acting aggressively towards a group of women on the train, and had thrown an item at the women, which struck one of them on the head.
The aggressors got off the train at Darlington
If anyone recognises the persons in the CCTV image, or has any other information about the incident, they are asked to contact British Transport Police by text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 515 of 04/05/24.
Alternatively, anyone with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
British Transport Police have also issued appeals for information after an assault at a Worcestershire railway station, and an attempted assault at Swansea railway station in South Wales
