Everybody enjoys a good deal, especially if they can save a lot of money in the process.
Now, regular travellers between the cities of Lincoln and Nottingham can save up to 40% on Advance Purchase Tickets as the East Midlands Railway (EMR) has introduced them on the route.
This move will mean that if you buy your tickets in advance, you can save a great deal on the otherwise on the day walk up ticket price.
It is also a great ticketing option for customers who travel regularly along this line. The introduction of the Advance Purchase Tickets will allow East Midlands Railway to introduce cheaper tickets on off-peak services, so customers have the option to travel on quieter trains at a cheaper price.
It will also allow cheaper days out by train, which will make it ideal for family’s especially with the summer holidays now on the horizon.
So whether you are travelling for work or leisure, customers in the East Midlands have the option of saving a great sum on ticket prices.
From 12 weeks before the intended date of travel, customers will have the option to purchase Advance Purchase Tickets.
However, the limited quantity of these tickets will result in high demand and fast sales. The earlier you book, the more you save, plus, you get a greater choice on the availability of train services.

“We are excited to launch Advance Purchase fares on our popular Nottingham to Lincoln route.
“The tickets allow customers to plan ahead and seize the opportunity to travel at a lower cost, be it for day trips with their family, visiting friends, or travelling for work—these new fares allow people to achieve significant savings.”
Customers using Advance Purchase tickets will need to travel from the station and at the specific times shown on their ticket. If the customer misses the train they are booked on, they will need to buy a new ticket. Advance Purchase tickets are only for one-way/single journeys.
