Most Anglia railway lines set to remain open for Bank Holiday though some changes will apply

has said that most of the railway in the Anglia region will remain open for passengers this May Day Bank Holiday.

However, some routes will be affected by planned engineering work.

Work will continue at Branch Junction and along the main line to , so that the system can be upgraded as part of the Station Project.

Additionally, it is planned for a footbridge to be lifted in over the mainline as part of the new station.

Signalling systems for the Cambridge area are set to be renewed, including between Cambridge and .

Points and track are set to be renewed at Thames Haven Junction on the Essex Thameside line also.

Most passengers travelling on our network across Anglia will be able to travel around the region to get to work or enjoy the long weekend. There are limited engineering works taking place on our network and some passengers will need to leave extra time to complete their journey. I would encourage passengers to check their journey plans before travelling.”
