During the weekend, all passenger services will be operated by heritage diesel locomotives hauling traditional Mk.2 carriages.

Making its first appearance on passenger trains will be the railway’s ex-Tyne & Wear Metro shunter No. WL4, one of five built in 1977/78 for the Metro.

At Leeming Bar, the engine shed will be open where visitors can view several of the railway’s diesel locomotives undergoing bodywork and engine repairs, as well as a historic railway trolley being rebuilt by volunteers.

Both Leeming Bar and stations have award-winning museums. Scruton station will only be open on Saturday, 4th May with shuttle trains operating from Leeming Bar.

Leeming Bar station house will be open throughout the weekend, where visitors can learn about rural railway life in the early 1900s and take a free guided tour with a costumed living-history interpreter.
