The Severn Valley Railway has announced that they will once again welcome RailAdventure HST Powercars for their Spring Diesel Festival.

The event takes place between the 16th and 19th May.

This year’s gala will see Class 70s, Class 73, Class 69, Class 59, Class 37 and Class 46 all join the railway’s home fleet for a weekend of diesel power.

RailAdventure Powercars did attend last year’s gala but were only available on one of the days to be in service, but this year, they will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“We are delighted that Rail Adventure UK Ltd are able to supply two of their Class 43s again this year. These proved to be very popular our last spring diesel event. Then, we were only able to have them in service for one of the days, but this time round, we’ll have them in operation on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the event.”
