Black 5 steam locomotive to pass through Worcestershire this Saturday

44871 on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway

LMS Black 5 No. 44871 will haul The Steam Express this Saturday, 6th April 2024.

Departing Norwich at 06:02, the train will pass through (06:33), Manea (07:35), March (07:41), Whittlesea (07:54), (08:24), (09:14), Leicester (10:22), Nuneaton (10:55), Water Orton (11:19), Longbridge (11:49), Droitwich Spa (12:08) and Worcester Shrub Hill at 12:18.

After time in Worcester, the train will depart at 16:38 and will pass through Droitwich Spa (16:47), Bromsgrove (17:09), Coleshill Parkway (17:48), (18:12), Leicester (18:41), before pulling into Humberstone Road at 18:47.

Here, the steam locomotive is replaced by a diesel locomotive with the train returning to Norwich via Peterborough (20:37), March (20:58), Thetford (21:46) and Norwich at 22:23.
