Passengers are being advised not to attempt travelling this morning in Surrey after a train derailed.
The incident happened this morning in the Walton-on-Thames area after the train hit an object, and whilst Network Rail says that no one has been injured in the incident, it has left the line blocked.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day between Walton-on-Thames and Weybridge, with ticket acceptance in place with a number of operators including London Underground (any reasonable route), Great Western Railway (any reasonable route) and CrossCountry between Reading and Bournemouth.
Rail replacement buses are also in operation.
Network Rail says that the front wheels of the train have derailed and this will take time to recover and get the railway reopened.
For the latest travel advice, please visit the National Rail Enquiries website.
