LMS Black 5 No. 44871 is set to pass through Staffordshire this Saturday (9th March 2024) as it heads to Stratford-upon-Avon.
Departing Manchester Piccadilly at 07:24, the train will pass through Stockport (07:38), Macclesfield (08:00), Stoke-on-Trent (08:30), Stafford (09:08), Penkridge (10:10), Walsall (10:43), Tyseley (11:37), Whitlocks End (11:50) and Stratford-upon-Avon at 12:17.
After time in Stratford, the train will depart at 16:18 and will pass through Henley-in-Arden at 16:32), Tyseley (16:51), Walsall (17:46), Penkridge (18:08), Stafford (18:16), Macclesfield (19:55), Stockport (20:36), Denton (20:50) and Manchester Victoria at 21:40.

Can we go onto the platform at Stafford to see the train
Hello, to clarify please.. the trai will come to SOT via Kidsgrove.. it will SOT station, not on Heron Cross /Longton line but instead..over bridge on City rd/stoke-Fenton.. Trentham lakes & Britannia/bet365 statuim to Stone – Stafford… Do you agree.
How long will it stop at Stoke (SOT)?
Trying think of a spot to see it, if station busy.

Don’t seem to get many excursions passing through Stoke. Will pop down to see this one pass.

If you can find the Range superstore in Fenton the car park goes right next to the mainline south of Stoke station you can get some good shots as it passes through
