Work will soon begin on an improvement to the waiting shelter at the station at Roydon in Essex on the West Anglia Main Line between Broxbourne and Harlow Town.

The existing shelter is built on raised concrete. Before installing the new shelter, Greater Anglia will remove the present one so that the area can be cleared to provide a level base for the new shelter.

It will be partially enclosed to protect passengers from the elements while waiting for trains and will also benefit from step-free access and CCTV.

Construction work is planned to start very soon and is due to be completed by the end of March. During the construction works, no shelter will be available to passengers on the platform.

However, Greater Anglia will endeavour to complete the work as quickly as possible to reduce inconvenience to passengers.
