Train Simulator Classic has introduced a new wagon with a unique remote shunting feature.
The DB Fas 126 wagon, from developer MRW, is available now on the Steam Store.
The Fas 126 is a single hopper bulk tipping wagon, designed to transport of a variety of goods including ballast and gravel. FEW Blankenburg built two prototypes of the wagon in 1993, and the following year produced 250 units, nearly all of which are still in use on the rail network.
The wagon has a unique tipping mechanism, which is initiated by an actuating device on the side opposite the tipping direction. During tipping, the bottom flap acts as an extension chute. The wagon also has the capacity to be controlled locally with remote shunting.
MRW has reconstructed the Fas 126 in authentic detail for Train Simulator Classic, with four steering variants and sixteen wagon variants with authentic DB branding.
The pack also includes two scenarios on Bahnstrecke Riesa – Dresden that teach the user how to operate the remote system.
Users who would like to add this unique freight wagon to their German railroads can buy it now from the Steam Store.
