Police appeal for help after public order offence in North Wales

British Transport Police officers investigating a serious public order offence in North Wales have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to identify to help with their enquiries.

On Saturday, 25 November at about 5.30 pm, a serious public order offence took place between and on a train travelling to .

The incident involved a lady with two crutches who was travelling from the Midlands to Junction. The train was busy, and at Chester a group of people joined the service.

The group who had boarded at Chester sat near the woman and began at her because they thought her suitcase was taking up space on the train; they also made derogatory comments about the way the lady spoke.

The abuse lasted for about 30 minutes until the lady alighted from the train at Llandudno Junction whilst the group of people who had been abusing her stayed on the train until they got off at Holyhead.

Officers believe the woman shown in the CCTV image may have information that can help with their enquires into the offence.
