British Transport Police release image after an assault at Lancaster railway station

An image has been released by following an assault which took place shortly before midnight on Friday the 5th of January at railway station.

The incident saw a taxi driver assaulted by a man after being informed that the vehicle had been pre-booked. The driver was verbally threatened prior to getting access in to the taxi, kicking and punching the interior, causing damage to the vehicle. The man fled the location prior to the police arriving and despite a thorough search of the area; was not found.

The image has been released by British Transport Police as they believe the man in it could hold important information which would support the investigation.
