Man stopped at Aberdeen Train station charged with drugs offences

Thursday the 30th of November saw a 65-year-old man who was stopped and searched at Train Station at approximately  7.40am and was found to be carrying huge amounts of cannabis to the value of £60,000.

The man was arrested and charged and will appear today (1st December) at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Detective Constable Daniel Connelly said:

“We are remain committed to tackling the supply of controlled drugs in the North East and pro-actively target the individuals intent on causing harm to our local communities.”

“We rely on the support of the public to help us take action to disrupt the drug trade.”

“I would urge anyone with concerns or information about drugs to contact Police at any time, on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
