British Transport Police are trying to identify two women in images in connection with an assault of two disabled women who were travelling together by train in Kent on Saturday the 9th of September.

The incident took place on the 6.20pm service from Ramsgate railway station to London St Pancras International.

The two women boarded at Ramsgate one parking their powered wheelchair in a designated area before moving to a seat. The second woman also parked her mobility scooter in the designated area opposite and remained seated on her scooter.

When the train pulled into Margate station just 10 minutes later, two women who were also travelling together boarded the service, which was extremely busy with standing room only. One of the two women approached the first victim, who was sitting in a passenger seat asking her to give up her seat, when she explained that she was unable to do so was assaulted. Shortly after, the other woman approached the second victim and assaulted her as she sat on her mobility scooter.

The two offenders got off the train at approximately 7.45pm at Gravesend station.

The two victims who were heading to London St. Pancras continued with their journey, however were met by an ambulance which took them to hospital where they were treated.

Detectives believe that the identity of the two women in the released images could hold information which would support the investigation. If you recognise either of the two women or hold any information about the incident, please get in touch with British Transport police via:
