Dovetail Games has announced the release by RSSLO of the type ÖBB 8073 Austrian push-pull passenger train for Classic.

The new unit is a suitable addition for CityShuttle passenger services. ÖBB introduced the type 8073 in the 1980s as a push-pull passenger unit, and converted it into the CityShuttle in the 1990s.

RSSLO has rebuilt the ÖBB 8073 in detail here for Train Simulator Classic. The locomotive pack features a Pflatsch control car, which was one of the first examples of this type in , and matching carriages.

Included in the locomotive pack is an authentic cab car with realistic controls, SIFA and PZB 90 safety systems, and individual controls for in-cab features such as the side windows. The locomotive can be used with Quick Drive across many Austrian railway routes, and included in the pack are three custom-designed scenarios that allow players to control local passenger services on the Salzburg – Schwarzach – St. Veit route.

The ÖBB 8073 locomotive pack from RSSLO replicates a unique Austrian classic for use with Train Simulator from, and is available now on the Steam Store here.
