Passengers in are being urged to check before traveling tomorrow (2nd November) due to the impact of Storm Ciaran.

Transport for Wales has confirmed that trains on the Heart of Wales Line, which runs between Swansea and , and the Conwy Valley Line, between and , will be suspended throughout the day.

Whilst trains between Machynlleth and are not running due to the Barmouth Viaduct project, TfW has said pre-planned buses will now replace trains between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth as well, with trains running every two hours between Machynlleth and Shrewsbury.

Rail Replacement Buses will serve the Conwy Valley Line, but Transport for Wales has said passengers need to check before travelling as roads in the area are liable to flooding.

No alternative transport will be provided for The Heart of Wales line.

Both the Heart of Wales Line and Conwy Valley Line will not be open until Friday morning at the earliest due to safety inspections needing to take place.

Tickets for Thursday 2 November can be used on Friday 3 November..
