‘Christmas by Train’, ScotRail’s latest advertising campaign has launched today (13th November) and aims to encourage people to travel by train over the festive period whilst saving money with the rail operator’s value-for-money ticketing alongside discounts including Kids for a Quid, Club 50 and GroupSave.

Christmas often involves plenty of wonderful opportunities for people to get out and about, such as going to see a pantomime, Christmas markets, visiting friends and family and, of course, a good old festive night out.

With the cost of living making life ever more expensive, ScotRail is hoping to encourage people to enjoy the Christmas period by train without breaking the by making use of its offers and discount schemes, including:

ScotRail Off-Peak All-Day Fares Trial:

The trial which will be in operation until March 2024 can offer ScotRail passengers the opportunity to benefit from cheaper value-for-money tickets over the Christmas period and beyond.

The environmentally focused trial marks the first of its kind across the UK rail sector and supports the Scottish Government’s approach to working towards net zero by encouraging people to choose train travel over road-based transportation.

Kids for a Quid:

ScotRail’s family-friendly initiative allows up to four children to make return travel for only £1 when travelling with a fare-paying adult.
