Network Rail is set to host a Christmas charity concert at London Bridge Station on Thursday the 18th of December in order to raise funds for the charity, the Railway Benefit Fund. The charity supports current, former and retired rail workers and their families throughout the country and so far this year has already supported more than 1,000 railway people, some of whom are struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis.
The festive event will see The London Transport Choir supported by a church organ in order to perform a delightful selection of heartwarming Christmas carols in order to raise funds for the charity. The event will begin at 6pm and will also feature light refreshments.
Anyone who would like to attend the special festive event can purchase tickets by clicking here. Booking is recommended as spaces are limited.
Cem Davis, Network Rail’s London Bridge station manager, said:
“We love working with charities to raise money for good causes and I’m really pleased that we’re hosting this specific event to raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund and making use of the much beloved organ which was re-homed at the heart of the station last year.”
Jo Kaye, Railway Benefit Fund’s CEO, commented:
“We are delighted that Network Rail are hosting this festive event at London Bridge to support RBF. At this time of year especially, many railway families are really struggling. It’s fundraising support like this that can make a real difference to railway people and their children this Christmas. We hope you can come along and support us and look forward to seeing you there.”
