Network Rail is set to host a Christmas charity concert at London Bridge Station on Thursday the 18th of December in order to raise funds for the charity, the Railway Benefit Fund. The charity supports current, former and retired rail workers and their families throughout the country and so far this year has already supported more than 1,000 railway people, some of whom are struggling to cope with the cost-of-living crisis.

The festive event will see The London Transport Choir supported by a church organ in order to perform a delightful selection of heartwarming Christmas carols in order to raise funds for the charity. The event will begin at 6pm and will also feature light refreshments.

The church organ is actually located at the heart of London Bridge station and is known affectionately as Henry was donated by the charity Pipe Up, which rescues and restores organs from abandoned churches.

“We love working with charities to raise money for good causes and I’m really pleased that we’re hosting this specific event to raise money for the Railway Benefit Fund and making use of the much beloved organ which was re-homed at the heart of the station last year.”
