Eversholt Rail has revealed that its team of eight runners in last month’s Royal Parks Half Marathon have raised an “amazing” £4,200 for spinal injury charity Back Up.
The rolling stock company has congratulated its staff who ran the race on Sunday 8 October: Chris Ham, Edd Blacoe, Ethan Barry, Gavin Inns, Jodi Savage, Joshua Williams, Lee Morgan and Paul Sutherland.
All eight completed the 13.1 mile course around London, which started and finished in Hyde Park and passed Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, The Mall and The Royal Albert Hall along the route.
It has also thanked everyone who donated to its fundraising appeal, which still welcomes donations, which can be made here.
Eversholt, which was founded in 1994 and privatised via a management buyout the following year, has an ongoing partnership with Back Up.
The Royal Parks Half Marathon was first held in 2008, and is the only half marathon to go through central London and four of the Royal Parks. It is one of London’s largest half marathons, attracting over sixteen thousand participants.
