Eurostar has fired the starting pistol for travel to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games by announcing the early release of tickets for travel between 25 July and 9 September.
The high-speed rail service operator is the official travel partner for Team GB and ParalympicsGB. They will be transporting nearly 600 athletes to the Games next year enabling not only competitors but also visitors and supporters to reduce their carbon footprint when travelling to the continent and back.
An additional service will run between London and Paris on Fridays and Sundays each week to service what is expected to be a high demand for travel during the Games and the summer holiday season. In all, 110 return services will allow 88,000 customers each week to travel on Eurostar services to Paris and back.
The Olympic Games will take place between 26 July and 11 August 2024, with the Paralympic Games starting on 28 August and running until 8 September. Individual and group tickets may now be booked for those periods, starting at £49 each way.
Fans may also complete their Olympic experience by booking a visit to Team GB House. There, they can take in the magic of the Olympic Games away from the competition venues. Tickets to the exclusive hospitality venue are on sale for Eurostar customers via TeamGB.com/Priority. Eurostar tickets are available from www.eurostar.com.
Francois Le Doze, Chief Commercial Officer for Eurostar, said: “We are preparing for more than one million passengers to travel with us to the French capital during these exciting and unforgettable events. We have released Eurostar tickets early to provide our customers with the best chance to plan their trip in the greenest way possible to support their Olympic and Paralympic teams, as well as their favourite athletes. We are very proud to be the official travel partner of Team GB and ParalympicsGB for the Paris 2024 Games.”
